Past exhibitions
Michelangelo Penso
Michelangelo Penso was born in Venice in 1964, where he still lives and works. He has been exhibiting in private galleries and public institutions since 1981. After gaining a diploma from the Liceo Artistico Statale in 1983 and graduating from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia in 1987, he taught at the Marseilles Académie de Beaux Arts and, since 1991, in Venice.
Maria Rebecca Ballestra
The artistic research of Maria Rebecca Ballestra is centred predominantly around social themes related to globalisation which are filtered and reinterpreted through photographs and video. The final result, whether installations or simple two−dimensional photos, offer the visitor the chance to reflect on the profound global transformations which are currently taking place. The majority of her work becomes an observation of reality, an eye that spies or "scientifically" observes current processes: processes of profound and very rapid social and cultural changes, whose final effect and outcome are still largely unknown.
Alessandro Vicario
Alessandro Vicario was born in Modena in 1968. He started photographing as a child under the guidance of his father, the photographer Ennio Vicario. He grew up and studied in Milan, where he graduated in Modern Letters and where he still lives. During his university years he took part in photography seminars. In 1997 he won a scholarship that allowed him to attend the course of Professional Photography at the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia in Milan.
Magali Joannon
An intimate diary of a solitary voyage taken through Camargue and Montenegro. Solitary, because his gaze is kept distant from people, as if hiding his observation of them; almost eavesdropping on their conversation and spying on their movements and interactions, without ever coming into direct contact, for fear or shyness.
