Maria Rebecca Ballestra´s research is connected to the social subjects concerning the globalization who are analyzed and reinterpreted through the photography and the video. The final result: installations and photos that bring the spectator on the profound transformations which characterize our time. The artist start to observe the reality, as an eye which observes "scientifically", for analyze the main process of transformation, to get the profound and fast social and cultural change which we are living and whose final results are largely unknown.
La recherche de Maria Rebecca Ballestra est intimement liée aux thèmes sociaux concernant la globalisation qui sont analysées et réinterprétées à travers la photographie et la vidéo. Le résultat final: des installations et des photographies qui interpellent le spectateur sur les profondes transformations qui caractérisent notre époque. L´artiste part de l´observation de la réalité, comme un oeil qui observe "scientifiquement" un processus de transformation, afin de capter le profond et rapide changement social et culturel que nous sommes en train de vivre et dont les résultats finaux sont en grande partie inconnus.
