Marie Lelouche
The work of Marie Lelouche consists of "cultivating her feelings" by finding them a form. They take shape in the hardness of the materials submitted. She knows that they resist her handling. Her projections escape literal representations of images or shape. Impressions, casts, and light will know the danger of incandescence and distortion. Anything can vanish but it can also be traded or crystallize. It is during these experiments that these accidents, surprises, and obstacles occur. As Lelouche puts it herself, she will push the process and its complexities to the achievable limit. She cannot imagine what unforeseeable things the future holds. She will know to recognize certain signs to assimilate them to the artwork. But to do this will require the unconscious materials to restore the body with sensation. |
